Here’s What You’ll Need:
Our Perth Energy & Power business is looking for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team of visionaries and thinkers, with experience in the design of steel structures and concrete foundations. This opportunity will be a focal point of delivery in the Transmission & Distribution team, with a focus on Civil Structural Transmission / Substations design and is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to change direction or gain further exposure to the growing Energy & Power market. We’re excited to hear from you if you're interested in the following work:
• Manage and undertake technical reviews of project deliverables and participate in project and client meetings.
• Actively support the achievement of growth targets in sales and revenue through client interaction, development of clients, achieve strategy and proposal development, interviews, and presentations.
• Mentor and develop fellow team members to grow the Jacobs offering.
• Previous technical exposure to some of the following:
o Load calculations using relevant Australian Standards including AS1170.
o Structural load calculations using Australian Standards including AS3600 and AS4100.
o Footing design calculations using first principles and industry software such as LPILE, GEO or similar.
o Structural steel plate connection design and steel bar reinforcement design in concrete columns.
o Assess various static loads in relation with Australian codes and international codes.
• Prior working knowledge of either SpaceGass or ETABs will be highly regarded.
• Relevant Engineering Degree in either a Civil or Structural discipline.
