Jacobs Project Manager/Construction Manager - Rail in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

If you also share this passion, explore an opportunity with us! When you join our team, you’ll lead project teams in the overall implementation of transit capital projects. We’ll ask you to provide oversight, guidance and/or direction for the project team, contractors and subcontractors. Also, you’ll lead important business development activity by presenting the organization’s project capabilities, establishing client relationships, and procuring work.

We’ll look to you to use your interpersonal skills when you directly, or through staff, ensure quality of services performed, client satisfaction, utilization of staff, marketing, reputation of the company in the marketplace, contract management, billing and collection, and project delivery.

As a global organization, you’ll have the opportunity to coordinate work share with other offices while building relationships within Jacobs to determine unique technical skills that can be delivered to the market. Your primary focus will be to manage transit projects involving design and construction of rail facilities as well as preparing scopes of work, conducting quality control reviews, and participating in lead roles in business development including proposal preparation and interviews. Your expert rail/transit knowledge will be showcased when you lead projects and provide overall project leadership, including responsibility for safety and QA/QC, schedule and budget, and contractor management. Your business acumen will be showcased because you’ll be asked to connect directly with clients, both internal and external.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering discipline

• 10 years of experience in Construction Management for rail-transit projects; experience managing construction contracts

• Substantial experience managing projects involving control centers within a rail-transit environment

• Professional Engineer License in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey

• Proven ability to management complex budgets and schedules.

• Requires extensive progressive technical experience in project delivery.

• Must have developed the following skills; engineering knowledge, contracting understanding, leadership, oral and written communication skills, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgment and problem solving.

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Construction Manager Certification
