As a Structural Bridge Engineer and vital member of our Philadelphia team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridges and other transportation structure designs. You will serve in a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation (highway and rail) projects on local and national projects. You may begin to serve as a Project Manager.

We’ll look for your knowledge and experience in: planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, bridge inspections, and report writing.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Relevant previous experience in bridge design

• BS or MS in civil/structural engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in PA, or obtainable in 6 months

• Previous experience working with PennDOT

• Demonstrated experience in structural engineering analysis and design on structural transportation projects.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Extensive working knowledge of CAD systems – MicroStation and AutoCAD

• Demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects

• Thorough understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures

Ideally You’ll Also Have:

• Previous work experience with PTC, SEPTA, DelDOT, and DRPA

• Active involvement in local engineering societies.
