We are hiring a Traffic Operations Center (TOC) Specialist in our Pennsylvania B&IA Group to support our growing portfolio of Traffic Operations, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Traffic Safety Services. The candidate will work remotely out of a client location. It is anticipated that the TOC Specialist will be part-time of approximately 16-24 hours per week.
Job responsibilities may include:
Provide support in the Traffic Operations Center including planning, traffic and ITS operations, development of standard of operating procedures (SOPs), communication and coordination, and quality control/quality assurance.
Provide support for training and outreach including development of manuals, handbooks, and exercises.
Provide support for resource and guideline development including coordination of TOC related policies, guidelines and procedures with various internal departments and external agencies.
Five (5) years of experience in traffic and/or ITS operations, emergency management, or similar environment is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to clearly communicate written and verbal information.
Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
