As part of our East Central team in Philadelphia, PA you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients’ water challenges locally and worldwide. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers with the growth and delivery of our municipal water/wastewater projects. You’ll also assist project managers on large, complex projects and work with subject matter experts in offices throughout the United States.
You will be responsible for conducting evaluations, preparing conceptual and detailed design drawings, and construction specifications at municipal water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.

This position will require you to work independently while also supporting multi-discipline design teams to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies.
You’ll be able to grow and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies to support project permitting and to demonstrate your business acumen skills when we ask you to communicate/work directly with clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, or the ability to obtain reciprocity, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and/or Delaware.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive process engineering and project delivery experience with wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including process planning, evaluations, piloting, modeling, and design (research experience will count).
Proven experience working on water and wastewater treatment projects
Have a strong understanding of current federal, state and local regulations, design guidelines, and permit requirements to support project success.
Experience working in multi-discipline project teams
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Master’s or other graduate degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred)
7 or more years of direct experience in wastewater treatment (ideally including planning, design, permitting, construction phase services, and commissioning)
Proficiency in water and wastewater treatment chemistry, experience with PFAS removal and degradation
Project Delivery experience MicroStation, AutoCAD and Revit
Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule and budget
Experience providing services during construction
Willingness to mentor junior engineers
Involvement in professional society organizations, community organization or other leadership roles with volunteer organizations
