We're looking for a Life Safety Systems Designer in Phoenix Arizona who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing and research facilities. Come be a part of a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world class designs for well-known clients around the world. You’ll thrive as you perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for our client’s advanced facilities.

Our designers are responsible for delivery of complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads that form the core of our electrical delivery team. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you’ll create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers. From those 3D BIM models you’ll design fire alarm, smoke and leak detection, security and intrusion detection systems. In addition to modeling work our designers perform calculations, apply the NEC, Life Safety Code, and other standards to model content and specify equipment at direction of the engineering staff.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • At Least 6 years’ BIM design experience

  • NICET Level I certification

  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)

  • Knowledge and application of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling code, IBC

  • Design experience with Fire Alarming, VESDA, CCTV, Access Control systems

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  • 4 years of Revit Design Experience

  • Knowledge and application of NEC and electrical design requirements

  • Knowledge of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code

  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm systems and manufacturer’s equipment

  • Two year Associate’s Degree in relevant field

  • 5 years of semiconductor experience

  • NICET Level II certification
