Our Global Business Services (GBS) specialists provide global support and expertise in the fields ofAccounting, Procurement, IT, HR and Graphic Design.

As Category Managerfor HR Total Rewards , you will partner with HR leadership to lead thedevelopment, implementations and ongoing management of category strategies atglobal and regional levels. Above and beyond Strategic Sourcing activities,you’ll master the knowledge of external variables (supply markets, costdrivers, commodity trending) and the internal landscape (requirements,organizational structure, priorities). Your collaborative relationshipswithin Procurement, Stakeholders and with Suppliers will successfully developCategory strategies that utilize various value levers to deliver improved cost,reduced risk and more efficient programs at Jacobs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve cost savings,mitigate risk and improve process efficiencies,

  • Lead the supplierselection process across multiple subsets of the category with various scopeand stakeholder groups,

  • Lead negotiations withcurrent and potential suppliers as part of the contract renewal or vendorselection process,

  • Use innovative categorycouncils and business reviews to support collaboration, knowledge sharing,opportunity identification and overall relationship development,

  • Unleash innovationwithin the procurement space, looking at new ways to structure programs orcategories, benefitting from changes in supply market and modifyingtools/processes to add value.

Qualifications

  • Significant experiencein managing procurement operations on major projects, including drafting andformulating contracts, RFx development, negotiations, administering majorpurchase orders, contracts or subcontracts,

  • Experience in projectsrelated to HR Total Rewards, including employee benefits, compensation andglobal mobility, either as a Procurement professional or a practitioner in thefunction

  • Experience with US orCanadian commercial contract law,

  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Law, Engineering, Supply Management or other applicable field,

  • Procurement experiencespecific to the engineering and construction industry would be an asset,

  • Fluency in English, bothwritten and spoken,

  • Excellent written andverbal communications skills,

  • Ability and willingnessto attend virtual calls in global time zones.
