A highly motivated Environmental Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with environmental investigations, contaminated land characterisation, soil and groundwater remediation and project management is sought. Experience with multi-national corporations is an asset and good interpersonal skills and international experience are requirements. Successful candidates will be educated to degree or post-graduate level in a relevant science, geosciences, engineering or environmental technical subject.
Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory. Clients and team are international and working knowledge of other languages is also beneficial. The candidate should have solid experience contributing to groundwater monitoring plans, environmental site investigations and contaminated land remediation projects in Poland.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities within the role will include the ability to provide support to projects in the field of environmental site investigation/characterization, remediation design and construction, working in the field as well as to data managing, reporting, and design tasks.
The successful candidate must have initiative, energy, enthusiasm and commitment and be flexible in work approach. Some travel to project sites and meeting would be required, though the primary work location will be Krakow or Warsaw.
Good people skills, ability to work remotely with project teams, experience with multi-national clients and contaminated land and soil and groundwater remediation plus the following attributes:
Educational background in a science, geosciences, environmental or engineering related discipline
Minimum 5 years of related project experience
Direct experience related to contaminated site characterization and remediation techniques
Understanding of Human health risk assessment and risk-based decision making with a focus on sustainability will be an asset
Proven experience in the application of national and regional environmental legislation in Poland
Awareness of main field H&S topics and procedures
Fluent spoken and written English is required;
Ability and willingness to periodically travel and support work at project sites (up to approximately 30%)
Good communication and team work skills.
