Jacobs Entry Level Construction Manager - Infrastructure in Portland, Oregon
Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established Construction Management practice, and we are seeking a new ‘Construction Manager - Field’ to join our team. You'll provide construction management services that includes inspecting construction methods and workmanship to ensure work performed aligns with plans and specifications, providing contract administration, managing project documentation, and providing advisory services to clients. Projects will be Wastewater Treatment, Transportation / Americans with Disabilities Act, and facilities projects for our municipal clients. You’ll be expected to perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor. Expect immediate work to be in the Oregon area and affiliated with offices in Bend, Portland, or Corvallis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Observe and inspect ongoing construction work is in accordance with Contract documents.
Review plans and specifications to ensure that work, materials, and installation are compliant with plans and specifications.
Review contractors’ pay notes and recommend for approval for actual work completed to the client.
Inspect traffic control against approved traffic control plans - Maintain a daily report of work in progress and status of completion and discuss construction related issues with client contact.
Provide advisory services for submittals, RFI’s and Change Orders
Manage 3rd party special inspections for the project as required

'- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Management OR equivalent work experience
0-2 years of construction or inspection experience in public infrastructure projects
Proven experience in concrete construction inspection for transportation proje
