We are looking for a passionate and dedicated I nstrumentation & Control Systems (I&CS) Engineer in Portland, Oregon. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients’ water and wastewater challenges locally and worldwide.

Using your experience, you'll develop Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) able develop control narratives. You’ll coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure success. You’ll be able to develop hardware assembly and wiring diagrams for supervisory control and data acquisition systems, develop control system software in PLC ladder logic, function block, HMI programming and perform facility startup, checkout and commissioning activities. As well, you will be able to review constructions submittals, conduct site evaluations, make recommendations for control system upgrades, and communicate with clients and management.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in PLC and DCS computer control systems, development of P&ID’s, development of control system architecture, SCADA systems, Human Machine Interface (HMI) software

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of instrumentation and process computer control systems

  • Capable of working in a team environment, including giving and receiving critical feedback

  • Successful experience with working and managing remote domestic and international staff and ability to work outside normal work hours at times to coordinate with global team members

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
