As part of Jacob’s Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) Group the Regional Maintenance Specialist will assume a leading role supporting maintenance and asset management efforts at all treatment facilities within the Northwest geographic region including industrial projects. This position is considered a hybrid role working from home, and traveling to project sites within the Northeast region.

You’ll facilitate maintenance knowledge sharing between projects in the region and the company as a whole, related to technical support for mechanical, electrical, I&C and PdM support; Support optimization of treatment facilities maintenance within the region through benchmarking and key performance indicator analysis; Evaluate the projects’ maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and provide input for possible improvements; Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations; Perform skilled mechanical repair work on industrial water/wastewater treatment plant and related equipment; and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment. You’ll also assist projects in set-up and training for predictive maintenance programs (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, etc.); Conduct condition assessments on project vertical assets and document assessments in the ACES software program; Prepare, consult on, or review maintenance cost estimates and level of effort; and perform ongoing project reviews to determine client satisfaction with past service and develop recommendations on the need for future service.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Ten (10) years of complex and/or industrial maintenance experience. US Military training is acceptable

  • Proficient in the use of CMMS software (example, Maximo, Maintenance Connection, SAP)

  • Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheet and/or database computer programs

  • Experience and understanding of budget preparation and financial accountability

  • Ability to travel approximately 75%

  • Physical ability to walk project sites and work outdoors under varying weather conditions

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Valid US driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of industrial equipment maintenance and extensive knowledge of methods to reduce operating costs, improve reliability, and ensure permit compliance

  • Water and/or wastewater equipment maintenance experience is a plus
