Position Summary
As a Structural Technologist Specialist, you will be an integral member of the design team, counted on to perform or review a significant portion of Structural analysis and design for our projects. You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills as you work closely with your Structural Lead, other Structural Engineers and Designers, and other disciplines. As part of this team, you will help develop or review design concepts, complete or review the analysis and design, and work with our Designers to get or review the structural requirements communicated on paper and in the model.
It is expected that you have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Structural Engineering, knowledge of multiple subject areas, experience with US building codes including seismic provisions, understand how Structural design integrates with and impacts other disciplines, and are building understanding of business trends and industry issues and challenges.
This position may require you to serve as a Lead Structural Engineer for projects of any size. You will be given as much responsibility as you are willing to take, and your opportunities for career growth will be limited only by your own motivation, capabilities, and attitude.

Enhances the delivery of technical expertise to projects
Leads development of technical scopes/approaches for projects, taking into consideration client needs, company strategy, resource requirements, financial performance, and alternative approaches
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Able to perform field walks unless mobility challenged; though not common, this may include climbing ladders, crawling under raised access floors, or walking/standing for extended periods of time
This position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site)
You may be asked to support work for/in other offices or client sites (possibly including Temporary Duty Assignments)
Employee to provide internet service as required at home to effectively meet project performance requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
Structural Engineer License (SE) or Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng) with previous Engineer of Record (EOR) experience
Minimum of 20 years of experience in structural engineering
Mastery of building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC
Mastery of Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam
Mastery of designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS degree in Structural Engineering
Experience in semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specific areas of Structural Engineering
Experience leading medium teams
