In this role, you will deliver solutions to significant regional water related projects backed by great local planning, engineering design, permitting, and technical talent, letting you focus on delivering excellent results for our clients. No other engineering firm in the northwest offers the depth of engineering design resources in house that Jacobs offers with our team. –We are looking for a driven, intellectually curious, and client-focused Water Market Project Manager in Portland, OR, to support our water / wastewater treatment, conveyance, and water resources team. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the Project Manager and/or process Technical Lead for projects – planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the planning and concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Among the many types of water projects led by this team are conveyance and pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, reservoirs and storage, dams, hydroelectric, and fish passage projects. You will be leading a multidiscipline design team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • A minimum of 5 years directly applicable experience

  • A minimum of 1 year directly applicable project management experience

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.)

  • Proven experience in planning and design projects.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • 10 or more years of direct experience

  • Proven experience managing teams of planning or design professionals

  • Local candidates with strong network with local municipalities or other water/wastewater clients
