Jacobs Lead Hydraulic Modeler - Water in Pune, India

Your Impact:

  • Leads teams on water/ recycled water infrastructure modelling and engineering

  • Develop base models, collaborate with onsite teams for model input data, operational details

  • Demand/ load assessment, land-use analysis, future network planning and optioneering in integration with existing infrastructure and proposed infrastructure. Carry out life cycle cost analysis for proposed options

  • Utility corridor planning and design

  • Hydraulic modelling and design of future network, preparation of phasing plan and capital investment plan

  • Model calibration and validation

  • Collaboration with other disciplines and ensuring necessary integration and alignment with other utilities

  • Technical report writing and prepare presentations and present the schemes to the client to obtain approval

  • Undertaking project tasks and engineering design at various stages in the project life cycle, while ensuring technical excellence and best practice to specification;

  • Provide input to Designers / Draftsmen for preparation of drawings, review/check the drawings and guide the designers/draftsmen;

  • Interact / coordinate with other disciplines for input, other information as required for completion of work, and also interact and Meet Client / PMC, Vendors and Other Third Parties, if required, for the Project requirements;

  • Review and check design calculations, drawings undertaken by other team members, to ensure technical correctness and conformance to project requirements.

  • Maintain high work standards, minimise production errors and attention to detail

  • Supply information for use in Coordination Meetings and attend as required

  • Identify and escalate risks as required

  • Deliver work through others, grooms and mentors junior engineers

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 12+ years of project delivery experience in a variety of water infrastructure projects and clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering / Technology

Preferred:

  • Post Graduate degree in Environmental Engineering/ Water Resources/Irrigation or equivalent
