Test Controller (BMDS Hardware-in-the-Loop/Ground Test) - IRES - HSV
Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) Controller/ Ground Test Conductor to provide Test Control, element integration and test support for MDA Ground Test activities. Reports to the DEPO System Engineering and Event Operations Leads, and the HSV Site Manager. Ground Test Conductor will work with other Test Engineers, Architecture Engineers, System Analysts, and Software Engineers to play a key role in the planning, coordination and execution of MDA/DTG Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) operations and testing and additional Ground Tests from the Advance Research Center Test Execution Center (ARC TEC) located in Huntsville, AL. The Controller/Ground Test Conductor will utilize the OSF software to accomplish testing. The Test Controller will support the Event/Technical Lead in ground test planning and execution for all MDA/DTG 4-Letter organizations as necessary, specifically as it pertains to HWIL testing, distributed ground testing, and strategic planning. Normal work time is day shift with some occasional evening and weekend work. Candidate will be required to learn and operate the OSF systems suite for operations and software test. Candidate will be required to obtain in-depth knowledge of test frameworks to include Objective/Single Stimulation Framework (OSF/SSF), BMDS systems suite operations, and a thorough understanding of software/system test concepts. Must be able to travel to support Ground Tests. Must be a US citizen and be able obtain an Interim secret security clearance to start. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements: BS from an accredited Engineering School 8 years general experience with 6 years related experience. Three years of experience in management or leadership roles. Experience in theater, midcourse, and terminal missile defense. Experience with DoD test methodologies and terminologies with regard to Missile Defense Agency Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) elements or components and associated test and analysis tools. Analytical skills in requirements analysis and interpretation; knowledge of strategic and theater missile defense weapon systems, sensor systems, and communications, and the BMDS environments. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Understanding of Windows and UNIX environments and commands. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Desired : Knowledge of ballistic missile defense ground testing and real-world architectures including associated message protocols throughout the ballistic missile kill-chain process. Detailed knowledge of BMDS constructs and operations is a plus. Experience in operational command and control centers. Two years of experience as an OSF Operator. Current Secret Clearance.
