Jacobs is seeking an IT Software Buyer in Reston, VA. Duties will include:

  • Ensure all required documents have been received, properlysigned & are filed in contract folder

  • Complete all actions in a timelymanner & in accordance with FAR, CCM & other internalprocedures/guidance

  • Ensure timely and accurate recordation of contract data(e.g. CLIN description & numbering, PSCs, etc.) within the databases in theoffice

  • Timely settlement of expired FFP contracts

  • With nominal guidance & in coordination withsupervisor/manager, respond accurately &expeditiously to ad hoc & routine procurement tasking

  • Takes personal action and holds oneself accountable toproduce results that support the best possible mission outcomes

  • Modeldiversity & inclusion

  • Works effectively with mission partners andmaintain communications throughout the procurement planning

  • Ensure appropriate coordination has occurred aspart of the procurement process with all components (e.g., supervisor, manager,COTR, security, legal, audit, etc.).

  • Routinely pursue (RFQ’s) to provide costsavings through request for price quotations

  • Follow Leadership guidance and adopt to work realignment and new procedures

  • Apply continuous learning activities &share knowledge to provide others with guidance for mission accomplishment

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required

  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline froman accredited college or university

  • Mustbe able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Mustbe able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization bothverbally and in writing

  • Proficiencyin the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)

  • Advancedknowledge of the customer and the interworking’s of the organization are criticalto this position

  • Mustpay attention to detail and remain alert at all times

  • Ability to become familiar with customer and industryregulations, policies, and unique authorities

  • Some Basic knowledge of industry procedures andpolicies specific to the area of assignment

  • Some Basic knowledge of various customerdatabases and applications

  • Oral and written communication skillssufficient to compose and deliver responses to customers’ routine questions ina clear and concise manner

  • Ability to develop an internal network ofprofessional working relationships within the work unit and with servicepartners’ counterparts in other Offices

  • Ability to interact with customers effectivelyin resolving routine problems

  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirementsand priorities

  • Ability to use good judgment and personalinitiative in recognizing appropriate action to be taken for completion of tasks

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of servicedelivery

Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirements:

Most work will beperformed at a desk. Depending onassignment, work is primarily performed in an office environment and mayinclude conditions varying from an office environment where work is primarilysedentary to environments where extensive standing and/or walking is involved.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The workenvironment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation withother members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company andCustomers.

Equipment and Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop,Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous officeequipment.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to maintain regular, reliable attendance and ensure on time daily arrival. Must be ableto work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However,times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to beavailable to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet lastminute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Other Essential Functions:

Musttake and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehiclerecords check.Grooming and dress must beappropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to theemployee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhancesproductivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.Must be well-organized withthe ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple taskssimultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadlinerequirements.
