  • Provide support in the translation of security and network management business requirements into network requirements, designs and orders.

  • Complete system design, test plans, user manuals, RVTM, and other documentation as required by projects

  • Evaluate new network technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into existing networks.

  • Coordinate the deployment of Enterprise security and management tools that protect the network and aid in the localization and restoration of network anomalies.

  • Plan the architecture for integration into the Enterprise network using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to ensure effective integration and optimal network performance

  • Provide support to project teams that have network connected systems to ensure that all approved systems receive appropriate levels of network access

  • Plan deployment strategy for implementing the security framework in remote field locations and on other associated networks

  • Maintain network security and network management tool lab and production virtual instances

  • Maintain, patch, and upgrade network management tool applications on Linus, Windows OS and AWS Cloud instances

  • Create configuration and rule set scripting for routers, switches and firewalls

  • Prepare technical proposals and roadmaps for presentation to the customer’s senior management teams

  • Produce project documentation including concept, design, deployment, user and Operations & Maintenance guides

  • Provide project status for presentation to senior management

  • Create process flow diagrams to document procedures for working new tools into the Enterprise environment

Qualifications

  • Active TS SCI with Polygraph Clearance

  • BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and fourteen (14) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a computer or system discipline and seven (7) years of progressive experience

  • Demonstrate experience with network troubleshooting, network design and network architecture. Possess an experience and understanding of Type 1 cryptographic equipment from both an engineering and an implementation perspective

  • Experience grasping and applying emerging technologies and demonstrate proficiency implementing lifecycle engineering

  • Ability to demonstrate experience and possess a fundamental understanding of LAN/WAN technology and protocols including routing, switching, routing protocols such as EIGRP, access control lists, IP addressing and sub netting and IPSec protocols

  • Ability to demonstrate experience with analytical and problem-solving skills and create appropriate network documentation

  • Experience with network security to include Cisco ASA 5550 series.

  • Demonstrate experience taking initiative with the ability to work with little or no supervision and have good interpersonal, organizational, writing, communication and briefing skills

  • Employee must be a self-starter who works well in a high performance team environment and has the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment
