Jacobs is actively seeking a Scheduler at our Reston, VA location.
Assist project managers or senior management in all aspects of project scheduling including the creation, update, and maintenance of project and proposal schedules on designated projects. Work closely with the Project Manager, Installation Managers, and Master Scheduler to ensure successful completion of projects within the applicable schedule and contractual requirements.
Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance required
Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline, and five (5) years progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Advanced oral and written communication skills are required along with comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures, and work flow processes.
Ability to plan and coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software,
programming and systems design, development of computer networks, and implementation of
Internet and intranet sites. Education – High school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree preferred.
Direct daily operations of project team(s) by: analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, and setting deadlines
Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Advanced knowledge the customer and the interworking’s of the organization are critical to this position.
Must pay attention to detail and remain alert at all times.
Prior knowledge with Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, Network Switches, and patch panels, voice technologies, Microsoft Project, ESMT
Must take and pass a drug test and background check
Must be able to maintain regular, reliable attendance and ensure on time daily arrival
Proven experience/leadership in performance of Project Scheduler/Coordinator accountabilities
Ability to assume responsibility, achieve assigned goals and work effectively with others.
Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Must be able to handle multiple projects of varying scope and magnitude.
Knowledge of IT or other related technology, scheduling, procedures, process flow, project plan and specification reading are required.
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Microsoft Project and Excel.
PMP and or ITIL Certification desired but not required
Create proposal schedules and schedule narratives for opportunities as assigned.
Manage schedule via interaction with project team members.
Working with the project team, sequence project activities to ensure that project progress is on schedule. Analyze schedules for potential impacts and advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interference or schedule difficulties and assist in the resolution
Compose all communication and reports as assigned. Work on claim presentation and TIAs (Time impact analysis) for schedules.Perform other duties as assigned.
