Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer with a passion for architecture/developments and a commitment to our core values to join one of our major projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project is set to elevate Saudi Arabia's tourism industry by attracting discerning travelers from around the world seeking exclusive experiences, unrivaled luxury, and a deep connection with nature. It represents a significant step towards diversifying the country's economy and establishing Saudi Arabia as a leading global tourism destination. As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will lead and manage the project, ensuring successful delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to quality standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality designs that align with Jacobs' values of safety, sustainability, innovation, and excellence.

In addition to this, your duties will be the following:

  • Control the supervision of the all related works of a Project as per the Contract.

  • Monitor the progress of the Contractor to ensure that the overall objectives of the Contract are met.

  • Compilation of reports programs of work, financial forecasts etc., relevant to a particular section of the contract assessed by the QS.

  • Ensure that the requirements of the Contract Documents and the proper administrative procedures are followed.

  • Manage the team members to optimize the use of the resources and deployment.

  • Attend meetings on matters within the sphere of contractual activities.

  • Monitor progress of the particular section of the work to see whether reasonable progress is achieved and to ensure the work will be completed within the contract period.

  • Innovate, collaborate and challenge the accepted for optimized solutions and faster delivery plans.

  • Manage project deployment, financials, staffing requirement and communicate any changes to internal stakeholders.

  • Supervise contract works including guidance to the contractor on HSE and quality control.

  • Manage the Testing, Commissioning and Handing Over of the project as per the Contract.

  • Deal with any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Director.

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a successful candidate you will have a BS or MS degree in Architecture or Engineering, from a recognized university, with hands on experience on Mega projects. You will ideally have experience from the Middle East, in the capacity of a Senior Resident Engineer. It is important that you can demonstrate a strong knowledge of construction management, with the ability to motivate others and work to tight deadlines. You will have excellent client management skills and have the capacity to work with and lead diverse teams when under pressure whilst always being commercially savvy, in what is considered a rapidly changing sector. An internationally recognized professional registrations would be a plus.
