As a Water Resources Engineer in our Sacramento, CA office, you will have the opportunity to work with our team of experts in the field of water resources engineering, modeling, and planning. Work will include development and application of environmental and water resources models to support local, regional, state, and Federal water management planning, facilities operations, and design studies. Working with our team, you’ll be involved in data collection and analysis, configuration and execution of computer models, as well as development of database and GIS applications to support water resources planning activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support the development and implementation of water management projects

  • Support and conduct modeling analyses for a wide variety of water resources projects

  • Develop modeling, post-processing, mapping, and visualization tools

  • Communicate findings through presentations and technical memoranda

  • Support our clients with proactive planning and design for water storage, conveyance, and distribution projects

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis on water resources is required. Graduate degree in Water Resources, Environmental, or Civil Engineering is preferred.

  • E.I.T. with the intention of obtaining California PE in future.

  • Knowledge of mathematical optimization, linear programming, hydraulic, and/or hydrodynamic models (examples include CalSim II, CalSim 3, , etc.).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel) and programming languages, including VBA, Python, and/or R.

  • Knowledge of California hydrology and water resources is preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and computer skills.

Typical salary range for this position is $56,300 to $87,950 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
