Jacobs Mechanical Facilities Assessor - Hybrid/Remote in San Antonio, Texas
As a Facilities Assessor in our nation-wide Assessment Services practice, you will perform a variety of assessment activities including facility condition, space utilization, functional adequacy, and educational adequacy. Your ability to collect, process, and analyze facility data will be brought to life thru report generation.

Professional experience with building mechanical design, facility management, facility maintenance, or applicable construction or service trades
Travel to sites near and far for periods of a few days to several weeks can be anticipated as needed for project execution
Travel requirements can be in excess of 50%
The ability to navigate any type of area within a facility including mechanical rooms, mezzanines and flat roofs through the use of secured ladders or interior access hatch
The ability to sustain a high walk rate through facilities during assessments, i.e., up to 100,000 facility square feet per day
The ability to take field notes, photographs, and nameplate data as well as determine wear, age, and repair requirements for systems and equipment in your discipline
United States Citizenship
Ideally You'll Also Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical degree
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Experience with BUILDER SMS
