As a GIS Professional within our Global Environmental Solutions group, you will have the chance to work with a broad team with a focus on supporting our global client base. Specifically, we are looking to expand our California staff with a combination of GIS professionals of varying experience to support our Department of Defense work. Some, but not all of these positions, will allow you to work side by side with our client, allowing you the opportunity to solve their problems in real time. For this role you will leverage your strong GIS, database, and visualization skills while collaborating with our experts in various disciplines and the client to apply these technologies. B.S. or B.A. Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Land Use Planning, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Biology, or directly-related discipline; minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in the Esri technology suite.
Has experience with the Esri suite of software, including: Desktop: ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox. Web: ArcGIS Enterprise, Web App Builder, Insights. Apps: Collector for ArcGIS, Survey123
Experience building out of the box Dashboards, Maps and Apps with Web App Builder
Experience creating, maintaining and updating map services.
Experience creating, maintaining and updating map products (including map books)
Experience building tools for repetitive tasks in Python or Model Builder
Experience with Pathfinder Office
Experience using third party data services
Significant experience with designing digital workflows ranging from mobile data collection to database management to data visualization.
Experience working with ArcGIS Desktop via Citrix
Experience working with ArcGIS Desktop extensions (ex: Spatial Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, Data Reviewer, Data Interoperability)
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with scientists, planners, engineers, and technologists.
Display attributes of a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, able to take direction, takes initiative to solve problems, versatile, and customer focused).
Develop and implement project plans and work assignments, ensure product quality, on-schedule, on-budget completion, and safety.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written customer facing communication skills with ability to discuss and present to clients, and internal team members or various backgrounds and technical skill levels.
Ability to travel one to two times a year.
Experience with Python 2.7 and 3.X including exposure to Python libraries (ex: ArcPy, ArcGIS Python API, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, pyodbc).
Experience working with the federal government
Experience editing SDSFIE compliant data in an Enterprise workflow with a general understanding of a multi user editing environment (i.e. reconcile and post, conflicts)
Ability to obtain a clearance
