We are looking for a Client Account Manager (CAM) to support our U.S. Navy Portfolio Federal Buildings and Infrastructure Business in the western U.S.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leadership and development of existing and new U.S. Navy and Marine Corps relationships (primarily, but not exclusively, at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Commands Southwest and Northwest, and Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center - NAVFAC EXWC). Needs to develop client relationships with existing and new clients and across their different Business Lines (Design & Construction, Asset Management, and Public Works) to promote business growth within the above noted NAVFAC Systems Commands’ regional Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Responsible for the sales process, finding new opportunities, receiving, and helping to coordinate responses to Solicitations/RFPs, including working with sales operations, technical staff, and Solutions & Technology (S&T) representatives to develop a winning approach and costs for Jacobs services. Serves as the Sales Lead/Capture Manager on new and re-competes of large and complex multi-million-dollar procurements. Also partners with internal Operations staff to help increase the pipeline of task orders under existing contracts.

  • Manages large and often multiple on-going proposal and sales efforts, may participate in corporate wide initiatives to assist in meeting the company's goals. Mentors and supports the development of sales and business development staff.

  • Works closely with the Navy Portfolio Sales Director, NAVFAC SW and NW Managers of Projects (MOPs), other Navy CAMs, other MOPs, S&T staff and other internal Operations and Sales staff to support comprehensive service offering. Would develop strong client relationships with new and existing clients and solicit client feedback to help ensure client satisfaction.

  • Works with our Operations staff, CAMs and S&T leads to develop business growth, project execution, and client service strategies. Effectively represents Jacobs in the market through engagement in professional organizations, industry forums/events, etc.

  • Work includes supporting the full range of planning/programming, design, and construction phases of projects. Projects would include new, and renovation/or modernization of MILCON, SRM and other DoD projects. Knowledge of design/build projects is a plus. Assesses client needs, gaps, challenges and project requirements, while developing and recommending a sound approach or application to meet the needs of the project and client.

  • Develops strategic plans for the growth of the client within Jacobs and helps sell all of Jacobs capabilities including planning, programming, multi-discipline A/E design, strategic consulting, commissioning, asset management and construction-phase support services, as well as the full range of Jacobs’ other F&ES services, for aviation, waterfront, commercial, institutional, industrial, operational and training, research and development, medical, quality of life, and other Navy and Marine Corps facilities and infrastructure.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors and or Masters Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is preferred.

  • Proven sales and/or project or program delivery experience is required, and an understanding of contract management, project delivery methods is helpful.

  • At least 18 years of experience, including sales or project management, project delivery, and leadership roles in government and defense operations.

  • U.S. Navy and Marine Corps buildings and infrastructure MILCON and SRM project/program delivery experience.

  • Critical writing/editing/reviewing/listening/ and presentation skills to optimize and successfully articulate value propositions and solutions to clients, both verbally and in written proposals, in-person and in virtual technology settings.

  • A collaborative, inclusive and strategic mindset.

  • Strong business acumen, including critical thinking necessary to grow A/E planning, design, consulting, commissioning and construction-phase support services.

  • Travel is required to visit client and operations locations where we operate.

  • United States Citizenship.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Professional registration (PE or RA).

  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps funding, procurement and contracting processes and strategies.

  • Knowledge of NAVFAC SW and NW and their supported installations and missions within their respective AORs.
