We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Principal Planner to join our Transportation Planning group with a wide variety of talent and experience. We are looking for someone who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running on time and within budget. You’ll be participating in exciting and engaging projects focused on multi-modal transportation planning and the integration of innovative transportation technology. You will be engaging with our existing transportation/transit clients, as well as identifying and supporting pursuits for new work and clients.

You will be one of the group’s key contacts with clients and you’ll ensure overall work progress and technical performance on projects. You will contribute to the completion of required activities, including transportation / transit planning, operations, modeling, transit/land use integration, and the development of strategic plans for our transportation/transit clients.

Our project delivery leadership and other senior leaders will clear the way for your inventive thinking and exploration, so you have the support, means and space to deliver solutions for our clients. As a passionate leader, you will leverage your mentorship skills to support our emerging talent to grow and develop our planning team.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field

• Progressive experience in a Planning, Engineering, or Transportation organization, including demonstrated experience in a project management and/or in a supervisory capacity

• Experience working with departments of transportation, planning or transit agencies (within Pennsylvania preferred)

• Familiarity with transportation technology and its impacts on traditional transportation operations preferred

• Knowledge and experience of Federal and State transportation regulations and programs, such as FTA, FHWA, and DOT preferred

• Excellent communication, time management and report writing skills

• Great mentorship and leadership skills

The base salary range for this position is $159,000 to $249,650. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations [add if remote]. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
