We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused senior water / wastewater treatment design engineer in San Francisco, CA to support our regional team.

As a key member of our San Francisco team, you’ll have the chance to perform a variety of municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment and potable reuse engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Working with other members of our team, you'll work on projects evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges and planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. As part of our team, you will also have the opportunity to work with treatment processes that may include coagulation, rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation, secondary biological treatment, granular media filtration, biological filtration, membrane filtration, disinfection (ozone, UV, free chlorine, chloramine), post-filter adsorption, and other treatment processes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the design and construction of municipal wastewater treatment facilities and related projects

Proven experience working with project managers to deliver successful related projects

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Varied range of experience in wastewater treatment and sludge handling projects for municipal and state clients

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

Master’s degree in Engineering

Extensive experience developing strong client relationships to market and deliver solutions that meet our client needs

Strong wastewater technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases (including conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration)

In-depth knowledge of biological wastewater treatment including, activated sludge and related processes (e.g., IFAS, BAF, etc.) and modeling of these processes using computerized software
