We're looking for an Instrument and Controls Engineer (Intermediate Level) who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client's business. Join us, and you'll be able to work on projects, including state-of-the-art semiconductors and industrial and commercial facilities. Working within an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative team, you will install, program, and commission facility control systems for semiconductor manufacturing tools to support new construction and retrofit projects. You'll also provide on-site assistance during equipment startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members. You'll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you familiarize yourself with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Knowledge/ experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI Programming (SCADA),

  • Familiarity with symbols and standard practices used in preparing P&IDs and the ability to use technical libraries to determine state-of-the-art instrument selection and application methods

  • Understanding of concepts and principles of electronic and pneumatic process controls; electronic pressure, level, temperature, and other "smart" transmitters; principles of operations, terminology, safety considerations, and applications for common analytical instruments;

  • Ability to keep records, manage multiple demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, communicate effectively, and interpret varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, specifications, and schematics.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain

  • Familiarity/experience with Allen Bradley and Emerson (GE) PLCs. GE Cimplicity and/or Ignition SCADA systems, SQL Server, AutoCAD

  • Previous experience with analog, digital, and relay field wiring, troubleshooting devices, and PLC hardware

  • Understanding of industrial network design and components such as VLAN, subnet, and Virtual Machine (VMs).

  • Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power, and building automation system design
