Main responsibilities include installation, integration & optimization of telecommunications network hardware and interconnect facilities. The position also works independently with minimal supervision and provides instruction, assistance and guidance to other technicians as required. Must be able to work non-standard hours & overtime. Perform other duties as required.
Essential functions include:
Installation, commissioning, integration and testing (ALU, Ericsson, Nokia (GSM, UMTS, LTE technology and 5G) RBS, DAS, 911 location systems. Installation and testing of transport facilities T1, T3, FTT, Installation and Integration of router/SIAD based equipment (Tellabs, Cisco, and ALU).
Here’s What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED is required
A valid driver's license is required
Minimum of 1 year of related experience required
Technician/Technologist deploma is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office Suite
Willing to work off normal shifts, if needed
Willing to travel away from home for extended periods of time
Perform other duties as required.
Able to climb ladders and work at heights in excess of 250 feet above ground. Able to lift, carry, push, pull 50 lbs. Able to crouch, kneel and twist throughout the work day. Able to reach, grasp and climb with both hands. Able to use basic hand tools, manipulate equipment and instruments with precise hand and finger movements.
