Your Impact:

Description of Duties:

The supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

  • Lead and provide strategic vision and oversee daily operations of the MDA Tier 2 Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Team in all Identify, Protect, Detect, and Respond operations Additionally, provide oversight of all CTO, POA&M, and all compliance actions

  • Provide direct Customer support in senior level briefs, and delivery of products

  • Coordinate and collaborate between Information Assurance (IA)/DCO Teams and Agency/Service CSSPs

  • Provide communications and support between MDA Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) and all stakeholders, and subscribers via teleconferences, technical exchanges and conferences

  • Recommend Cybersecurity operational direction and support to all Subscribers, and provide requirements for a Cybersecurity Common Operational Picture (COP)

  • Ensure the Authorization to Operate (ATO) of the CSSP on a continuous basis

  • Have expert Risk Management Framework knowledge as it pertains to Systems, Enclaves and eMASS

  • Attend CSSP working groups and participate in all Community of Interest meetings/VTCs

  • Coordinate Cybersecurity related Law Enforcement (LE) and Counter Intelligence (CI) investigations and operations within the boundaries of the CSSP

  • Recommend Cyber Protection Conditions (CPCON) changes in response to unauthorized activity (e.g., computer network attacks, computer network exploitation, system misuse), and to mitigate potential damage to information systems and computer networks

  • Continually develop and refine CSSP policies and procedures

  • Coordinate with other organizational leadership to ensure that operations are maintained, and projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Maintain CSSP Cybersecurity Workforce Requirements as they pertain to DoDi 8570.01m and DoDD 8140.01 instructions

  • Experience in DoD Cyber inspections (i.e. Evaluator Scoring Metrics (ESM), Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORI), Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI)

  • Deliver IRES contract SOW/PWS and SSI requirements as it pertains to the TIER 2 DCO operations

  • Be responsibile for the DCO operations Cost Account management budget

The successful candidate will:

  • Be proactive and possess excellent organizational skills

  • Be able to work in a team environment and independently, as necessary

  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize various projects and assignments in a dynamic work environment in order to meet unscheduled customer requests

  • Demonstrate aptitude in oral, written, and interpersonal communications including technical writing

  • Must be willing to work in a 24x7x365 operational environment, which may require extended hours with no notice on evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends

  • Be willing to travel - infrequent and less than two weeks

This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $105,600 - $168,975 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience.

  • Must have 9 years of directly related cybersecurity experience

  • Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role

  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT/M Level III certification

  • Must have a current CSSP Manager certification (i.e. CISM, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, CCISO)

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance to start

Desired Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • RMF / eMASS experience

  • Experience developing policy or advocating for changes in policy to support new initiatives or required changes/enhancements.

  • Experience with producing technical documents, briefings and process documents.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Access, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
