Description of Duties : Software application developer for IRES/CLAW, supporting Missile Defense Agency at Schriever AFB. Analyze requirements, evaluate software architectures, and design and develop software solutions within a team environment. Help design, develop, and Operate & Maintain (O&M) software applications for the purposes of information sharing, work and asset tracking, process improvement, and automation. Integrate Government Off‐The‐Shelf and Commercial Off‐The‐Shelf products into the MDA infrastructure. Develop and maintain applications using .NET/ C#, JavaScript, Angular, Visual Studio, PKI, and SQL Server databases. Gather and document customer requirements for applications, recommend best solutions, and implement approved solutions. Research new technologies, evaluate products, write documentation, and perform training as needed. Mentor other software developers. May be required to lead individual software development projects, or participate on a team for given projects. Provide Operations and Maintenance support for select COTS/GOTS applications. Primary duty hours generally fall within core support hours Monday – Friday.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements : HS Diploma (or GED) with 12 years of general experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of general experience and/or BA/BS with 8 years of general experience or Masters with 6 years of experience; must include 6 years directly related experience in dynamic web application design and development and 3 years in management or leadership roles. Must have experience and proficiency with all of the following languages and technologies: Microsoft ASP.NET, C#, HTML, Angular, JavaScript, MS Windows server operating systems, MS SQL Server, MS Visual Studio, JIRA or similar software development management tool (such as MS Team Foundation Server), SharePoint. Experience with BMC Remedy ARS or similar customer support‐ticketing systems and change management support tools. Must have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical data into a format understood by non‐technical individuals. Must have experience developing secure software and mitigating vulnerabilities. Must be capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance. Candidate must possess a CompTIA Security or CISSP certification, or be able to obtain one. Skilled in software development life‐cycle, CM, and CMMI. An understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes. The ability to adapt rapidly as new situations arise, de‐conflict requests from requirements, and quickly learn new technologies.
