Software Audit/Compliance Analyst - IRES - SAFB


Description of Duties:

The Software Audit/Compliance Analyst supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

  • Audit and reconcile software license records against network installation records.

  • Compare output products derived from various network discovery capabilities to licensing records contained within the Remedy Configuration Management Database (CMDB), highlighting anomalies such as unauthorized products or unauthorized installations of legitimate products.

  • Advise and coordinate with software licensing, maintenance contracts, and various cybersecurity departments on documented anomalies.

  • Initiate action plan to correct discrepancies, including coordination with software users for resolution determination and helpdesk technicians where software removal is required.

  • Conduct reviews installation records to validate additional data elements, such as user-organization and user-device alignment.

  • Execute corrective measures to address software licensing audit and compliance issues.

  • Have excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position can be located at either Schriever AFB, CO or Redstone Arsenal, AL.



Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) with 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree with 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree with 6 years of general experience.

  • Must have 6 years’ directly related experience in Software Management and/or IT Operations.

  • Must have 3 years’ experience in management or leadership roles.

  • Must have a DoD Interim Secret security clearance at a minimum.


  • ITIL Foundations (v3) certification and Security certification.

  • Knowledge of IT support requirements, techniques and applications to manage an inventory of technology-related assets.

  • Technical writing experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and BMC Remedy.
