Description of Duties:
The Sr Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
Support the complete product life-cycle of information technology-oriented sustainment projects supporting the C2BMC Test Bed, BNOSC, GM infrastructure, and JFCC-IMD at the MDIOC, Schriever AFB.
Apply classical systems engineering approaches to requirements analysis, technical assessments and trade studies, and project technical oversight.
Have work requirements that include:
System requirements analysis
Risk/opportunity identification and management
Functional architecture development
System design support and trade studies.
Interface control specification development
Impact assessment of customer requests
Briefing development and presentation
Testing and verification of delivered products and services
Validation of documentation and verification case development
The successful candidate will:
Be able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Have good communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
Have experience briefing senior customers and management.
This position can be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $80,400 - $112,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of general experience; Master's degree and 4 years of general experience.
Must have 6 years of experience in a directly related field
Must have 3 years of experience working with systems engineering processes and tools supporting requirements development, risk management, trade studies/analysis, and V&V
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline preferably systems engineering or computer/IT
Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Systems engineering certification such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP
Development experience; experience with IT architecture
Hands-on requirements development experience
Familiarity with information technology concepts (i.e., communication networks, computer and networking hardware)
Proficient with MS Office applications (including Visio and MS Project)
Knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems, and MDIOC operations
