Jacobs Civil Supervisor in Sellafield, United Kingdom
Your Impact:
We are currently recruiting for a Civil Supervisor to join the integrated joint venture team on the DDP Lot 3 Framework at Sellafield – i3 Decommissioning Partners
The main goal of this framework is to assist in the decommissioning of the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
This is an hourly paid role on a CIJC basis. Base hours are 39 hours per week plus 2.5 hours per week (additional overtime will be arranged as and when required on a case by case basis)
The Civils Supervisor will be expected to but not limited to:
Responsible for day to day site safety and ensuring all safety documentation is adhered to at all times
Deliver Daily Briefings/POWRAS/TBT
Over see Site activities and day to day running of the site to ensure maximum productivity
Completion of allocation sheets and daily logs
Supervision of a small team of civil biased craft operatives
The role will mainly be based outside so will likely include being exposed to adverse weather (suitable PPE and welfare will be provided)
Here’s what you’ll need :
Required
Thorough knowledge of construction practices (specifically concrete and groundworks), and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (including appropriate QA/QC procedures)
Ability to communicate professionally with Project Manager, Client representitives and H&S advisors.
At leat 3 years experience in construction based supervisory role
IOSH Managing safely/SMSTS/SSSTS
Desirable
Gold supervisor CSCS Card (at least working towards)
Risk Assessment Training
Human Performance Training
Roads and Streetworks Card
Basic knowledge of CDM regulations and site set up
Understanding of Sellafield Ltd Procedures for Construction works
Basic NEC Contract knowledge
