The Rapid Solutions Innovative Aerospace organization has won several national level programs to build multi-function RF ISR systems in air and space utilizing our legacy surface-mount technology (SMT). The supply chain function supports this expanding production and is growing significantly requiring the procurement of CLASS B and C components from many suppliers.

This position is for an experienced supply chain professional to execute the planning, sourcing, procurement and receipt of commercial components to support producing multi-function radio frequency systems. The selected individual will act as the Deputy Supply Chain manager helping to execute all aspects of the supply chain function of this $100M business. Duties will include reviewing engineering requirements, sourcing these requirements, maintaining communications and relations with critical suppliers, assisting with assessing vendor proposals and working with mission assurance to ensure the parts meet the required specifications. Your work will make a difference to national security by building the next generation of tactical ISR systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with project management team to plan and maintain material procurement according to project requirements and schedules.

  • Maintain supplier relationships and negotiations while ensuring that materials are procured from approved suppliers.

  • Lead SMT and electromechanical material planners in obtaining quotes, releasing purchase requisitions, and utilizing MRP systems.

  • Monitor the progress of daily planning, resolving issues when they arise.

  • Ensure manufacturing material requirements are met in a timely manner.

  • Provide input to management regarding problems such as shortages, parts obsolescence, and long lead materials.

  • Maintain up-to-date pricing for manufacturing bill of materials.

  • Lead pricing efforts for proposals.

  • Analyze data to produce management metrics, charts, and reports.

  • Understand the supplier market, keeping abreast of market developments, demand trends and risks.

  • Oversee the sourcing process from obtaining quoting, supplier selection, process requisitions, track material receipts, and expedite materials.

  • Follow up on purchase orders and expedite where necessary to meet requested date.

  • Establish and manage long term supplier relationships to drive competitive advantage.

  • Academically credentialed with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Experience with MRP Systems.

  • Experience sourcing for electromechanical parts.

  • A passion for National Security.

  • Ability to think critically.

  • Multi-tasking, attention to detail, critical decision making.

  • Experience with FAR/DFAR.

  • Experience with inventory management in a production setting.

Clearance Requirement:

Favorable Background; This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Clearance processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include but are not limited:
