If so, then Jacobs has a great opportunity for you in our Engineering Development and Special Projects (EDSP) group.

EDSP is a rapidly growing business within the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Sector of Jacobs. This division is a small subset (<100) of the company comprised of engineers of various disciplines organized into product development teams. -Lead development, prototype, production, and testing of complex custom micro-electronics hardware.

-Manage the schedule, budget and technical aspects of electronic packaging design and manufacturing programs.

-Direct multi-disciplinary engineering teams made up of RF, test, digital, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.

-Review mechanical designs and circuit board layouts for functionality and manufacturability.

-Lend knowledge and expertise to failure analysis, process development, troubleshooting, and technical experimentations.

-Communicate with and present to company personnel and customers on technical project details, priorities, timetables, and budgets.

Qualifications

Required :

-Current TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.

-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) or electrical engineering (BSEE).

-5 years of experience leading Hardware Development Projects.

-Familiarity with product development, research, design, and prototyping to production.

-Interest and expertise in project management and technical engineering.

-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred :

-Familiarity with printed circuit board fabrication.

-Experience resolving qualification and production failures.

-Hands-on testing, manufacturing, machine shop, or assembly experience.

Clearance Requirement :

This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

-U.S. Citizenship (Required)

-Abuse/Illegal Drug Use

-Credit Check

-Subject Interview
