The position involves performing a variety of complex test technician duties in support of Test Engineers. Your first priority will be to support production test activities including but not limited to running automated test, tracking pass/fail statistics, flagging failure trends to test eningeering and troubleshooting. You will also support the products team to test prototypes, first article units, perform DVT (design verification testing), and/or MilStd qualification tests (typically at a local test lab).

We need an electronics test technician to help us grow and take on challenging tasks that involve testing sub-assemblies and higher level top assemblies. RF experience a plus+. Work independently and as part of a team!

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of complex test technician duties in support of Test Engineers.

  • Works from limited documentation, written or verbal instruction, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles.

  • May work with analog, digital, or RF type circuitry. Performs operational tests and fault isolation on circuits, systems, and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specification. Works with test engineers to setup test stations, review automation test executions stability and accuracy of the automated test steps performed.

  • Reviews, redlines, and updates existing test procedures, documents new test procedures, and collaborates with test engineers to update or submit documentation to configuration management.

  • Employee’s first priority will be to support production test activities including but not limited to, running an automated test, tracking pass/fail statistics by part number and serial number, flagging failure trends to test engineers, and troubleshooting.

  • Second priority will be to support the products team to test prototypes, first article units, perform DVT (design verification testing), and/or MilStd qualification tests (typically at a local test lab).

  • Employee will work on a small agile fast paced team, directly with Test Engineering, Product Engineers, Production Assembly Technicians and Project Management to deliver tested products on time and within cost.

  • Knowledge and training in electronic theories and principles.Testing of electronic hardware experience.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a manufacturing area.

  • Ability to troubleshoot to the component level of analog and digital circuits.

  • Capability of utilizing all basic electronic test equipment. (Power Supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope, Electronic Load Banks, Current Probes, etc.)

  • Familiarity with MilStd810, MilStd704 and MilStd461 with testing and troubleshooting skills.

  • Flexibilty with working on multiple products at any given time.

  • Operating advanced test equipment may be required. (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise Source, VNA, GPS Simulators, Logic Analyzers, etc.).

  • Knowledge of operating thermal chambers and vibration tables.Knowledge of ESD safety and practices.

  • Ability to wear ESD dissipative devices such as wrist straps, heal straps, and/or ESD lab jackets.

  • Ability to work a set schedule to support manufacturing activities, 8.5 hr days, 5 days per week.
