We are seeking a Drafter to join our rapidly growinghigh-performance team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoysa challenging and dynamic environment. You will be working with Mechanical, Manufacturing and Electricalengineers to document hardware designs and configurations of complex electronicsystems.
-Under limited supervision prepare engineering ormanufacturing documentation from notes, verbal instructions sketches, andmodels.
-Potential documentation types that will be developed mayinclude detailed part drawings, mechanical assembly drawings, cable assemblydrawings, electrical assembly drawings, component layouts, schematics,interconnect lists, parts breakdown, printed circuit board assembly drawingsand wire lists.
-May take measurements or make observations of shop andfield installations, make routine engineering computations, preparespecifications and source control documentation, make adjustments in drawingsand specifications, and/or prepare material lists and engineering changeorders.
-Minimum One-year detailed drafting experience, preferablyin the high technology industry with emphasis on electro-mechanicaldrawing. Associate’s degree inmechanical, microelectronic, or manufacturing engineering with focus onmechanical design.
-3D Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) experience, especiallySOLIDWORKS
-Must have a general knowledge of the mechanical andelectro-mechanical fields of design and be thoroughly familiar with recommendeddesign/drafting standards.
-Must have good interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
-Ability to generate mechanical assembly drawings and billsof materials.
-Ability to generate detailed fabrication drawings formachined components, sheet metal, PCBs and cable assemblies.
-Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
-Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM and configuration management
-Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
-Familiarization with cable design to supporting cabledrawings.
-Experience preparing schematics, logic diagrams and blockdiagrams.
-Experience translating designs between ECAD and MCADdomains while maintaining configuration control
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintaina security clearance. Clearanceprocessing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for aU.S. Government Security Clearance include but are not limited:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
