Jacobs is looking for you if you like challenging electrical/mechanical hardware tasks of electronic assembly! We need a Lead Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to help us grow and take on challenging tasks that involves assembly of basic and intricate electro-mechanical parts, soldering, repairs, complex wiring of electronic components and basic/complex cable assemblies. Work independently and as part of a team! Initiative to take on responsibility and lead a must!
The position involves being the lead electro-mechanical assembler working with other electro-mechanical and cable assemblers. As the lead you will give instruction regarding assembly, quality and documentation and be responsible for ensuring the build of top notch quality assemblies. This position involves oversight as well as hands-on building.
Responsibilities:
You will lead and provide assistance to other team members (electro-mechanical and cable assemblers).
You will be responsible for ensuring team members understand assembly requirements, quality and documentation.
You should understand and be capable of building complex cable assemblies as well as be a skilled mechanical assembler.
Position requires assembly of electronic cable assemblies and integration of cable assemblies into top assemblies.
Be able to read and interpret electronic/mechanical documentation.
Use of hand tools required for electronic assembly, soldering iron, microscope, measuring tools, wire cutting tools. Be able to read and interpret electronic/mechanical documentation.
Be able to take an electronics assembly kit, inventory, review documentation and build per the drawing while filling out the necessary documentation for quality inspection.

Leadership qualities and prior experience a plus+.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
Experience with hand tools such as calipers, multi-meters and torque tools.
Have effective communication skills. Understand complex documentation.
Individual should be clearable however a clearance is not necessarily required for this position.
You should have standard certifications for electronic assembly or have had training equivalent to.
Space training a plus+ Be able to lift 25 lbs, standing and sitting for periods of time without issue.
Attendance is critical and individual will be required to work a standard 8.5hr schedule, 5 days per week.
Preferred:
- Individual should have current or had in the past, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications or advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience.
