Your Impact:

As a systems engineering intern with the Innovative Aerospace Division (IAD) of Jacobs, you will perform the following:

  • Assist engineering team w/daily tasks and organization.

  • Assist in the developing better work flows and processes.

  • Assist w/the continual development and transition of new internal research and development projects and products from engineering to production to ensure compliance w/customer requirements.

  • Automate testing and validation tools used throughout the production process.

  • Develop a working technical knowledge of the product portfolio, customer uses and applications, and assist the team engineering support as needed.

  • Develop and maintain technical architecture, configuration, and status documentation.

  • Develop and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of resources.

  • Interact w/several engineering disciplines throughout the project.

  • Identify issues and support the documentation and investigation of test

  • Execute manual test cases alongside an experienced tester.

  • Write and review customer-specific configuration requirements and procedures for use by assembly and manufacturing technicians for production tasks.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Qualifications (minimum requirements, clearance, exp, tools, must haves, etc.):

  • Enrollment in a four-year college degree program in engineering, computer science or other related technical discipline and in at least the second year of college.

  • Attention to details and ability to follow procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required).

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other MSOffice applications.

Desired Requirements (nice to have but not required):

  • Sophomore Standing, or equivalent.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Experience debugging and testing hardware

  • Preferred computer skills include SQL and Python

Qualifications- Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Clearance Requirement: CLEARABLE

This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Clearance processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include but are not limited:

  • U.S. Citizenship (Required)

  • Favorable Criminal History Check

  • Education Verification

  • Abuse/Illegal Drug Use

  • Credit Check

  • Subject Interview
