Jacobs Technical Project Manager in Severn, Maryland
Your Impact:
As a Technical Project Manager in the Special Projects Division (SPD) of Jacobs Technologies you will take a hands on approach to leading the engineering team to project success. SPD specilizes in end to end designing and manufacturing of custom microelectronics solutions including PCB design, PCB population, die placement, antenna design and manufacturing, enclosure design and manufacturing, and engineering analysis. The project management team is responsible for ensuring project success on multiple levels: technical, budgetary, schedule, and customer satisfaction. You will develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, interface directly with the customer to present project status, and guide the technical team providing technical input and communicating milestones and deadlines. Additionally, you will provide regular project updates to internal management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, well organized, and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field preferred.
2+ years managing technical projects with experience estimating schedule and cost.
Experience leading a multi-discipline engineering team.
Detailed understanding of engineering design process.
Strong comprehension and communication skills.
Ability to present techincal information and professionally interface with customer.
Previous experience with microelectronics preferred.
Previous experience with MS Project preferred.
Active security clearance preferred.
Willingness and eligibility to hold a security clearance required.
PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
