We are seeking an Information and Operational Technologist to join our team in Shalimar, FL. In this position, you'll handle the computing/software/technology infrastructure needs of Jacobs at project sites across the country. You'll work with the NOC Team to identify and resolve operational security issues at industrial sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Helpdesk with resolution of site issues where onsite presence is required.

• Perform maintenance and upgrades to various network appliances and servers/workstations.

• Take all proper safety precautions to prevent accidents.

• Uses all required safety equipment.

• Report all near-misses, accidents, and damage.

• Provide input to engineering team regarding design and construction of facility improvements.

• Work with the NOC Team as the onsite resource to establish network monitoring infrastructure.

• 2 years’ experience with Information and/or Operational Technology hardware/software

• Understanding of the technology (network cabling and switches, servers, routers, access points)

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to travel up to 50% for scheduled as well as emergency deployments.

• Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Advanced network troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with network security and traffic monitoring tools.

• Degree or certifications in associated fields (Networking, Cybersecurity, Programming).

•. Experience related fields such as Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
