Summary/General Description Of Job:
The Bus Driver drives vehiclesover specified routes or to specified destinations according to time schedules,complying with traffic regulations to ensure that passengers have a smooth andsafe ride.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Drives large passenger buses for long and shorthauls to transport personnel throughout the base and on public roads andhighways.
Ensures that cargo is properly loaded andsecured, and that vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity.
Performs pre-run driver’s checks and driver'smaintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
May occasionally drive other type and sizevehicles for which qualified and licensed, when required by the work load.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
May perform work in other classifications whenincidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment.Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompaniedby any wage adjustments applicable.
Theproper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the bus driving field.
Completingall mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
Timelyand cost effective performance of duties.
Timelycompletion and accuracy of all departmental work.
Dealing with a variety of people in a professional,courteous manner in diversified situations.
Adherenceto established company safety policies and good industrial and office safetypractices.
Compliance with company Standard Operating Proceduresand Personnel policies and procedures.
Havingthe ability to work well under pressure.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, ProfessionalAssociations):
Two yearsdriving experience in 16 passenger or greater capacity vehicles in aprofessional capacity with a safe driving record.
Must possessand maintain a valid Washington State Class "B" commercial driverlicense with Passengers (PI) endorsement, air brake qualified and current CDLmedical card as a minimum.
Must meetand maintain company physical and security requirements, and clearanceeligibility when required.
Must possessgood communication skills for a service team environment.
Abilityto successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on thecontract.
