Jacobs is hiring a Business Development Director – Water who will be responsible for driving growth within the ANZ water market across multiple services and disciplines across the region. At Jacobs, our water strategy is focused on partnering and collaborating with our clients and the broader water industry to develop and deliver water solutions that address the challenges of climate change, urbanisation and digitisation whilst ensuring we maintain customer affordability and improve liveability in the communities we serve.

Reporting to the ANZ Market Director – Water, the successful candidate will be expected to understand our client’s strategy, challenges, and opportunities, and systematically explore, and innovate with relevant Solutions & Technology staff and Operational Leads to develop and deliver pragmatic water solutions. You will consider our capabilities globally and identify market trends to help pre-empt and lead client service needs into the future. You will be across the current and emerging trends in the water industry and be able to formulate and implement short- and long-term strategies to position Jacobs in the ANZ market. You will lead our client management activities and promote and maintain client relationships at all levels, including at an executive level. You will be a recognised water leader across the industry and able to lead an influence across the water industry

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience, including Consultancy, Sales and/or Operations.

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering/relevant field

  • Identifying and developing a talent pipeline to enable resource/ succession planning.

  • Managing and achieving a balance between resources, timelines, costs, and quality; and leading and engaging and retaining talent

  • Experience in Business Development and Client Relationships, marketing and strategic planning and preparation of high-quality offerings.

  • Leading people under adverse or challenging conditions

  • Experience working, managing, and influencing in a matrix organisation across different locations, cultures, functions, and business lines.
