The purpose of the Estimator role is to provide effective delivery of assigned services and assist the wider Cost Management team in the provision of Cost Management Services to ensure that all client expectations and requirements are met within agreed timelines, budget, and quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own performance to deliver projects within budgets and fee limitations.

This role is required to assist Senior Estimators in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:

  • Identifying and advising on the most appropriate design and construction process to the client.

  • Accurately forecasting and assessing the cost, time, quality, and constructability of a project.

  • Combining construction techniques with cost control through the life of the project through experience in estimating construction works.

  • Preparing bills of quantities.

  • Delivering estimating, and handling variations, take offs and cost proposals.

  • Preparing forecast cash flows and providing procurement advice to clients.

  • Actively participate and contribute to value management and risk workshops.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering and understands the construction methodology of highways, bridges, and tunnels.

  • Preferred experience working with Expert Estimator software.

  • Strong attention to detail and an appetite to learn and develop technical skills relevant to cost management services.

  • Seeks to understand the needs and goals of our clients and works collaboratively in a leading role as part of a team to achieve these.

  • Works independently, with guidance in only the more complex situations.

  • Strong time management skills with a capacity to prioritise, manage and communicate workload (their own and others) effectively.
