About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Planner/Schedule for an immediate start. In this role you’ll provide effective management and delivery of assigned services and resources and provide the appropriate expertise to ensure that the Planning Services provided meet all client expectations and requirements within agreed timelines, budget and quality.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the client to determine requirements

  • Developing and updating project schedules and tracking schedule progress against baseline

  • Preparing time-chainage diagrams

  • Identifying and advising on the most appropriate planning and construction process to the client

  • Working within client teams as part of the client integrated project team and able to manage the preparation of detailed program reports as required by the client or Jacobs’

  • Attending and/or facilitating planning and scheduling workshops as required by clients or Jacobs'

  • Accurately forecasting and assessing the time and buildability of a project

  • Preparing or assisting in preparation of pre-contract documentation

  • Assisting in evaluating progress claims

  • Contributing effectively to progress review meetings, value management workshops and risk workshops

  • Providing Planning input into project budget and forecasts

  • Assisting in the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters

  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members

About you

To ensure your success in this role, you’ll have demonstrable postgraduate experience in planning, engineering, construction and/or project management fields. You’ll be experienced in program management of major construction projects and implementing business and/or projects plans.

You’ll also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Planning, Project Management or equivalent

  • Proficiency in planning software including Primavera P6, Risk Analysis and Microsoft Project

  • Strong constructability and contracting knowledge and its application to project services.
