About the team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established thriving team with a strong pipeline of projects. The current opportunities are based in Brisbane however, you will be joining a truly connected ANZ Water Solutions business who provide the full suite of consulting services from advisory and engineering through to operations and asset management.

The Jacobs water business has water infrastructure and water resources capability in every major city around Australia working across a multitude of markets such as Utilities, Government, Transport, Resources, and Energy Transitioning to name a few. Our water business in Brisbane is made up of a water infrastructure section and a water resources section.

Our water infrastructure team in includes civil, structural, mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation and control engineers, at all levels of career development. This cohesive team allows us to deliver entire major projects within our water group. The depth of team provides opportunities for mentoring, support and peer-to-peer challenge.

Our water resources team is a centre of excellence for flood modelling, with a focus on dam safety and support for resilient design on large infrastructure projects. Our team works seamlessly across multiple geographies embracing Jacobs culture of flexibility and global teaming.

Our team is currently working on projects that have a lasting enduring positive impact on our communities such as advisory services for new water sources for agriculture, and engineering services to enable greater connectivity, innovative space saving wastewater sludge treatment projects, and major desalination plants in response to our drying climate.

About you

Our strong pipeline means that we are currently seeking candidates across a range of roles at a variety of levels.

Successful candidates will:

  • Have an inclusive mindset and enjoy collaborating across geographies as part of diverse teams.

  • Have recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar.

  • Years of experience commensurate with the level of role being applied for, ideally within a consulting business environment.

  • Be a strong communicator across the various platforms which make for a truly flexible workplace.

  • Be open-minded and willing to adapt with change and transformation.

  • Demonstrate a passion for the water industry.

About the roles

Right now, we have an immediate need for the following roles (at various experience levels):

  • Civil (Water) Engineers with pipeline, and/or site civil experience

  • Structural Engineers (with water-retaining structure experience)

  • Mechanical (Water) Engineers

  • Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (Water) Engineers

  • Project and Design Managers

  • Water/wastewater planning study managers

  • Water/wastewater infrastructure planning engineers

  • Water/wastewater Process Engineers

  • Water Resources Engineers

  • Dam Engineers

  • Flood Engineers and Modellers

  • CFD Modellers

  • Team Leader – Surface Water
