Jacobs is seeking Procurement/Accounts Payable Support in Springfield, VA. Duties will include:

  • Primarily provide customer service support to internal and external customer

  • Verification of packing slips and recording goods receipts in Costpoint, working with internal team to verify receipts of items, scanning packing slips, and filing

  • Work is generally perform in both NSS and customer systems.. As time allows, the role may require tracking of incoming shipments from vendors

  • Handle customer and accounts payable inquiries

  • Recording goods receipts

  • Filing and scanning of packing slips

  • Work with team members on invoicing discrepancies

  • Other duties as assigned

Periodic responsibilities include:

  • Assist other team members with other assignments as needed and directed by supervisor




  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required

  • Requires one (1) year of college with courses inbusiness administration, computer science, or industrial management, and three(3) years progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of relevanteducation and experience

  • Minimum qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience to the skill

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)

  • Working knowledge of customer networks/systems

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface consistently and effectively with customers, technical staff, project team members, and management to identify issues, negotiate changes, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to explain rules, procedures clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to elicit information on moderately complex technical problems from non-technical customers for resolution of problems requiring significant analysis across multiple environments

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision or in a team environment

  • Ability to organize and plan personal as well as team tasks in a changing environment, monitor their execution, anticipate risks, assess impacts, and develop contingency plans

  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CPSR and contractual and customer requirements

  • Experience with Deltek and IBM Cognos

Essential Job Functions

Work Environment:General Office environment: The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Physical Requirements:Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Typically employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, and carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives. There may be times of walking to consult with other groups onsite.

Equipment and Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:Must be able to maintain regular, reliable attendance and ensure on time daily arrival. Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Other Essential Functions: Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements.
