We’re seeking Civil Engineer to provide on-site engineering support during the design and construction phase for a government client's program located in Saint Louis, Missouri. You'll perform review of submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and other documents associated with the program, and perform routinely scheduled inspections in the field.

The Civil Engineer will furnish the Civil Engineering services with assignments provided by the Government. These services will require minimum experience of 5 years in design analysis, specification review, and on-site field inspection of projects/programs of significant scale. The services require significant experience in the design and construction of large, multistory buildings including Government facilities and buildings. This effort requires knowledge and experience in all phases of a large construction project’s lifecycle. The Civil Engineer will monitor the status of construction of civil engineering elements to ensure compliance with contract documents and notify the Government, in writing of any deficiencies found from field inspections or document reviews. In addition to notification of deficiencies, the Civil Engineer will assess the contractor’s proposed action plan for said deficiencies and advise the Government on the acceptability of the proposed solution. In some instances, the Civil Engineer will work collaboratively with the Government and contractor to develop solutions that are acceptable to both.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Ability to perform field Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure that civil components on the campus are being constructed in accordance with all applicable contract documents

  • Proven working experience in civil engineering on large projects

  • Knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar

  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.

  • Project management and supervision skills

  • United States Citizenship

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
