We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Sr Interior Design Professional to grow with our team. Working as a Project Manager in St. Louis, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor staff to deliver the highest level of service directly to the client. You'll utilize your skills as an architect and with your team; research, program, plan, design, applying knowledge of architectural design, zoning and building codes, building systems and materials. We'll have you leverage your people management skills to help your team members discover what drives them, guide them forward and supervise design documentation activities of others including checking activities of staff in preparing drawings and specification documents for conceptual design, schematic design, and/or the detailed design Phases of projects design review, mechanical, engineering, plumbing(MEP), structural, and controls. The connection with the General Contractor is direct and requires a level of technical expertise related to the specific scope of the project. This position is also client-facing and you would be the main point of contact with the client for the design team as well as the steward of the health of the project internally, with emphasis on ensuring Design, Schedule, Cost, Scope, Quality, and Safety. We live inclusion. Position Summary The St. Louis office is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our design team.
As a Project Manager you will work in partnership with the Cities and Places Department Leader and subsequently with the Architecture Discipline Director for overall strategy and approach. For each project you will directly interface and collaborate with the discipline leads, senior Project Architect (and potentially a Design Manager). You are accountable for setting and adhering to the project financial goals and team communication. Responsible for the project overall health; financials, team effectiveness, client relationship, safety, and quality.
Primary Responsibilities
• Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire Project Team.
• Responsible for ensuring communication with disciplines is effective and constant.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
• Develops a positive relationship of trust with clients and other project leadership.
• Regularly communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews.
• Sets the Client Expectation Surveys (CES), Client Satisfactory Surveys (CSS) at the beginning of the project and follow up throughout the major milestones.
• Part of proposal teams to craft the project approach, work with discipline leads for potential team members, and develop the project workplan and financial/pricing tool
• Facilitate the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders, and conduct status review meetings among project team members and clients through project execution.
• Determine, monitor, and manage: financial project metrics, schedules, and staffing requirements for each project.
• Guide the overall development and quality of the project documents and adherence with Jacobs Quality Program.
• Leads project team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence and sharing client feedback.
• Prepares meeting minutes of client and team meetings and/or oversees the development of the minutes with a project admin depending on the project size.
• Plan, organize and direct management and design staff.
• Provide effective team management to help reduce costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven management techniques.
• Actively involved in the St. Louis community in a capacity that is in alignment with personal goals, hobbies and passions.

Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
• Ability to work in multi-discipline, multi-office, and Global Integrated Delivery (GID) environments.
• Knowledge and implementation of project financial acumen, including estimating ETC/EAC and earned value.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
• Participation in professional organizations is preferred
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or building engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 plus years’ building experience.
• Professional Registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is preferred. Project Management Institute (PMP) Certification will be considered.
• Experience as a client-facing Design Project Manager, managing multiple projects.
• Experience mentoring staff.
