Main responsibilities:

  • Help seek innovative solutions in achieving best value in delivering our services

  • Working with other Jacobs offices in a multi office delivery environment

  • Producing and checking scheme deliverables and supporting information

  • Perform design and hydraulic modeling on all project aspects associated with conceptual planning, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of construction plans

  • Responsible for drainage design including, but not limited to civil design calculations, computer modeling, detailing, and plan set production for roadway, drainage, water quality and utilities projects with an emphasis on hydrology and hydraulics

  • Coordinate design development and assist in providing technical direction and mentorship to other engineers

  • Provide quality control within drainage discipline to ensure completeness and accuracy of design team work

  • You will be responsible for providing deliverables and solutions to drainage elements on schemes and problems

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and one of the following languages: Swedish/Norwegian/Danish

  • Nearing completion of IEng and MICE status or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of H&S legislation

  • Experience in MicroDrainage modelling system or equivalent hydraulic design tools

  • Knowledge of the scheme stages from Feasibility through to detailed design for drainage and transportation projects

  • Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate and well written reports

  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a global multi-disciplinary team

  • Experience with water quality analysis and design

  • Experience designing highway and transit drainage systems and erosion control measures

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

  • Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and capable of working with internal colleagues, clients, contractors, and regulatory agency staff

  • Team oriented with strong capability to learn, mentor, and work independently while managing time and budget
