Business Unit Description:

Working within Jacobs NDA Estates business unit you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging nuclear decommissioning projects for a wide range of clients, gaining experience in the design and development of innovative engineering solutions. Project Description:

This role is supporting multiple work streams across the NDAE cross sell and miscellaneous Business including support to Jacobs Field Solutions, Power, Defence, People & Places Solutions - covering a variety of Projects and clients including AWE, MOD, BAE, RR, Etihad rail, National Grid.

Role Outline/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Portfolio for delivery of Project design solutions and provision of directed resources.

  • Prepare Project Execution Plans

  • Prepare contract programmes

  • Demonstrate value, minimising programme risks (threats), developing opportunities as well as portfolio delivery efficiency and effectiveness

  • Ensure Jacobs governance requirements are met within proposals, estimates, project reporting and invoicing.

  • Develop and maintain good sustaining business relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.

  • Monitor and manage the delivery of portfolio, maintaining a working knowledge of the portfolio performance with respect to projects and packages of work within the various work groups. Support portfolio risk mitigation and lead actions with respect to performance issues.

  • Monitor and manage the delivery of portfolio, maintaining a working knowledge of the portfolio resource requirements and utilisation for the short and long term in accordance with the requirements.

  • Monitor and manage performance against KPIs and metrics such as Earned Value and Milestone Achievement, providing accurate forecasting and timely invoicing of design solutions.

  • Implementation of the strategic objectives related to the Project Execution Plan and commercia arrangements of projects.

  • Ensure Project teams are sufficiently aware of customer feedback as necessary.

  • Compile monthly OPR and PAR reports for Xsell and Miscellaneous Projects

  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested



HND Qualified in Technical, Engineering or Project management related subject

Track record in Project Management, Team Leadership and Portfolio Delivery

Good understanding of Project controls, reporting and governance.

Experience of commercial and contract administration NEC3 ad 4.

Proven and effective inter-personal and communication skills.

This position is subject to the ability of the candidate to obtain as a minimum-Security Clearance (SC).

MS Office suite of programmes Good knowledge of Excel essential
